The release of the official version of iOS16 is approaching September 12th (Monday), but the US media 9to5Mac summarizes the functions that cannot be used at the time of release.
New lock screen live activity
We know that the new feature ‘Live Activity’, which allows you to interactively display information on the lock screen, will not be available when iOS 16 is released.
The API for developers is also not expected to be available when iOS16 is released.
The fact that Live Activity is not available when iOS 16 is released means that even App Clips, which are compact parts of the app, will not support the same feature.
Collaboration app Freeform
“Freeform” is an app that allows you to capture materials such as photos and PDFs while making a FaceTime call, and use them for idea rushing and brainstorming while sharing them.
The app is scheduled to launch later this year.
Game Center SharePlay
Apple’s social game network, Game Center’s SharePlay and contact book integration features are not expected to be available at the official release of iOS16.
Smart home standard Matter
Support for the smart home standard “Matter” is expected to come later this year and will not be available when iOS 16 is released.
Concentrated mode filter on iPadOS16
The focus mode filter is a function that allows you to display only specific calendars and emails in apps such as “Calendar” and “Mail” based on the currently enabled focus mode.
This function is not expected to be available when iPadOS16 is first released.
iCloud photo sharing library
The implementation of the iCloud Photo Sharing Library, designed to make it easier to share photos with family members, has been delayed until later this year.
