Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Guo released a new MacBook heat pipe specification upgrade report today, predicting that Apple will launch two new design MacBook Pros in the Q3 quarter of 2021. The two new models are equipped with approximately 14-inch and 16-inch displays, respectively. In terms of chassis design, the original curved design of the top cover and bottom of the new model is replaced by a flat right-angle design similar to the iPhone 12, and both use ARM processors. The latest industry survey pointed out that Apple is still actively testing the VC (Vapor Chamber) heat dissipation system for the iPhone. It is believed that in the near future, at least high-end iPhone models have a high probability of adopting the VC heat dissipation solution. The supplier is consistent with MacBook Pro 14/16.
If the reliability of VC can be improved smoothly, it is possible that high-end iPhone phones (tentatively called iPhone 14 Pro) will use VC for heat dissipation as early as 2022.
The latest survey shows that due to the future increase in computing power and faster 5G connection speeds, high-end iPhones need to be equipped with VCs to meet higher heat dissipation requirements. At present, the iPhone has not adopted VC. The key is that the reliability test of VC cannot meet Apple’s high requirements. However, we are looking forward to the improvement time of VC reliability, and it is expected that at least high-end iPhone will be equipped with VC in the near future.
