Apple has released a new version of iCloud for Windows 10. The release notes show that the company is preparing to use iCloud Keychain passwords in Chrome for Windows as well.
“Supports iCloud Password Chrome Extension”
Apple has long offered several apps for iPhone users using Windows PCs. ICloud for Windows is a typical example.
According to the US media MacRumros, the release notes for iCloud for Windows 10 updated on January 26, local time, stated that “iCloud password Chrome extension support”.
When the new version was installed, a new “password” item was added along with the iCloud Keychain logo.
When you tap the password item, you will be prompted to download the Chrome extension, but at the moment it seems that you can not download it even if you click “Download”.
Not sure if it will be available in Chrome for Mac
MacRumors speculates that this is probably a bug, and in the near future iCloud Keychain passwords will actually be available in Chrome for Windows as well.
However, it’s unclear if iCloud Keychain passwords will be available in Chrome for Mac.
