Apple's CEO Tim Cook has revealed that he has signed an open letter asking the United States to remain in the Paris Agreement to combat climate change.

The following is an open letter that the CEO of more than 70 companies in the United States, who asks the US not to leave the Paris Agreement.

We are a group of CEOs who employ more than 2 million people in the United States and union leaders representing 12.5 million workers. We all understand that contributing to climate change efforts is the best for our economy, jobs, corporate competitiveness and our country.

In 2017, we all supported our participation in the Paris Agreement in the United States, but this position has not changed. Two years ago, the impact of rising global temperatures was obvious. Today, record temperatures observed throughout the United States, terrible hurricanes that hit the coast, wildfires that have increased destructive power, droughts and floods are disrupting the economy. We don't have time to waste.

The list of letter supporters lists the names of CEOs of such companies, including Autodesk, Mastercard, Gucci, HP, Tesla, Adobe, etc., but also check the name of Apple's Cook CEO can do.

Cook, who sometimes disagrees with President Trump

Cook has continued lobbying for US President Trump to prevent China from imposing tariffs on Apple products, but some topics may not agree with the president's opinion.

Cook, for example, has expressed strong support for the postponement of deportation (DACA) for young immigrants President Trump is trying to abolish.

Regarding climate change, Cook said, “It's not a risk, but rather an opportunity,” and the difference from President Trump ’s position, which expressed his departure from the Paris Agreement, is now highlighted.

Apple's commitment to the environment is highly regarded and has won the 2019 World Climate Action Awards sponsored by the United Nations.
