195% increase in rage in one year

According to research company IDC, Apple shipped 29.5 million wearable products in the third quarter (July-September) of 2019 (Apple has not disclosed specific numbers).

This is nearly three times more shipments than the 10 million units sold last year. Due to this significant increase in shipments, Apple's share in the wearable market has grown significantly from 23.0% in the previous year to 35.0%. Of course, in the share ranking, it is 1st place with a big difference to 2nd place Xiaomi.

IDC Q3 Wearable 2019Q3

IDC has noted that Apple Watch, AirPods, and Beats series headphones have been well received as a reason for the significant increase in sales of wearable products over the past year.

Wearables that appeared in the third quarter of 2018 to the third quarter of 2019 include Apple Watch Series 4, AirPods (2nd generation), and HomePod in Japan. Surprisingly, Apple Watch Series 5, Apple Watch Series 3 after the drop (lowest model from 31,800 yen to 19,800 yen), and AirPods Pro are not included.

It goes without saying that IDC once again points out that Apple will continue to run in the wearable market in the coming quarters.
