AUKEY will release the magnetic wireless charger “Aircore 15W” compatible with the MagSafe mechanism of the iPhone 12 series on March 10th. Wireless charging is possible for iPhones that support wireless charging with a maximum output of 7.5W.
Charge by sticking to the back of the iPhone 12 series
AUKEY’s “Aircore 15W” is a wireless charger that is compatible with the MagSafe mechanism of the iPhone 12 series and can be charged stably by attracting it with a magnet on the back.
By combining with a USB PD compatible charger sold by various companies such as AUKEY, iPhone 8 / X or later iPhone series can be charged wirelessly with a maximum output of 7.5W. The USB PD input supports 5V 2A, 9V 2A and 12V 1.8A.
The supported output is 5W / 7.5W / 10W / 15W, and some Android smartphones can output up to 15W.
It measures 60 mm in diameter, 7 mm thick, weighs 49 grams, and has a cable length of 1.2 meters.
Safety mechanism to stop charging by detecting foreign matter
The Aircore 15W is equipped with a safety mechanism that protects it from overcharging, overvoltage and overheating.
The foreign matter detection function automatically stops charging when a metal part is detected between the wireless charger and the smartphone.

“Aircore 15W” is available in two colors, white and black, and the estimated market price is 1,880 yen (tax included).
Compared to Apple’s genuine MagSafe charger (maximum 15W output) for 4,950 yen (tax included), the charging speed is slower, but you can purchase it for less than half the price.
