A way to easily restore the startup sound “Jan”, which no longer sounds on Macs after 2016, has been discovered.

Just copy and paste commands into the “Terminal” app
To play a startup sound on a Mac, simply paste the following command into the Terminal app and enter your password when prompted.
sudo nvram StartupMute =% 00
If you shut down or restart your Mac, you will hear nostalgic sounds at startup.
“＠TempAccountNull” has found that if the startup sound is no longer needed, paste the following command in the “Terminal” to restore it.
sudo nvram StartupMute =% 01
