Hands-on With Connectix Virtual Game Station – An Early Commercial PSone Emulator for Macs



Connectix Virtual Game Station was one of the first PSone emulators alongside Bleem, with decent compatability. YesterYear’s Mac Games takes a look at how well this old piece of software actually ran on the hardware from it’s era (a 400mhz PowerBook with MacOS 9).

I try out a number of games, simple and complex across a variety of genres to gain an insight into what it’s potential was.

(Its been theorised within a duiscussion on reddit, that a lot of the incompatibilities experianced here, may well have been a result of various anti-piracy features that were triggered by the emulator)
