UPDATE #2! Are you still having issues downloading macOS Big Sur? I’ll show you even more ways to download macOS Big Sur in this 2nd update!
Step 1 Make sure you are not using a different DNS on in your network settings or router. If you are set them back to default then try the download Big SUr from Software Update again.
Step 2 Use MDS or installinstallmacos.py to download Big Sur. (NOTE: you can try the terminal command on Catalina or newer OS – “sudo softwareupdate –fetch-full-installer –full-installer-version 11.0.1” but it does not seem to be working correctly right now.

macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 Final is LIVE! The only problem? You can’t download the full installer due to an Apple Server issue! I will go over the issue and show you a workaround to get you on macOS Big Sur final until Apple fixes the issue.
