In this repair video, we will be working on ipad pro 12.9 1st gen that was mailed in because touch stopped working after attempted screen replacement. After inspecting the motherboard, we discovered a blown filter that could affect the touch functionality. We desoldered the blown bad filter and soldered a new one but that did not solve or fix the no touch problem on the ipad pro 12.9. We inspected the motherboard again and we found another faulty component that is blown. We replaced it and soldered a new one but touch is still not working. We later discovered 3 missing filters over the screen fpc connector. We replaced them. Let’s work on this tablet together, and see if we can get touch to work.
