this method is a way to be able to restore a ipod touch or iphone that has when trying to restore before has come up with a 1604 error, this fixes it, it worked on mine
Windows 7:
If you Got Windows 7 and you cant see ‘App Data’ Follow these instructions,
Go to start and where is says ‘Search Programme and Files’
Type in ‘Folder Options’ and press enter, then in Folder Options you will see 3 tabs, General, View and Search, Click View and then you will see ‘Hidden Files and Folders’ and your going to check ‘Show hidden Files, Folders and drives’ and then press apply and now you should be able to see ‘App Data’.
