I recently decided to get myself one 2020 MacBook Air with M1 chip. Last year I bought intel based MacBook Pro with 8GB ram, but I would feel that it was easily getting throttled or performance was getting limited under load. After seeing all the reviews and positive sentiment about M1, I decided to get myself one. Although I could have waited for 2021 version, but my budget was limited so I ended up getting MacBook Air (7 core GPU and 8 core CPU) with 16GB ram.
