M1 MacBook Gaming – Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) – macOS – Steam

Hi guys, today I bring another game that runs off Steam on MacOS, so no need to use Crossover or Parallels. Counter Strike Global Offensive, set at the resolution of 1280×1024 (4:3), and graphic settings low, gives us a fair experience, yet playable game on the M1 MacBook Air. For some odd reason, the V-Sync limit wasn’t enabling, causing as a result a unstable frame rate. Not that the rate wasn’t good enough to play, but it just wasn’t able to deliver that degree of smoothness you would expect for a game like this. On the other hand, this uncontrollable FPS causes the system to run at its max, therefore heating up a lot and fast. If the 60FPS cap were working, the temperature would probably drop to a more optimal point. Here it never drops below 80ºC and peaks over 90ºC; these temps aren’t optimal for prolonged playing. All in all the game is playable, and still is fun, but the lack of v-sync, and excessive-heat makes this a No Play Game. .
