The development of the low-cost version of the Pro Display XDR is completed, and it will be unveiled at the Apple conference.

On the eve of Apple’s spring conference, Bloomberg technology reporter Mark Gurman said in the latest Power On newsletter that Apple has completed the development of a low-cost version of the Pro Display XDR external screen a few months ago, and plans to launch it after the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. A low-cost version of the Pro Display XDR external display will be launched with the new M2 Mac mini at Apple’s Spring 2022 conference.

It has been reported in the past that Apple is developing two new Pro Display XDR screens, one is called Studio Display with 7K resolution high-end specifications, and the other is a low-end affordable version of the display.

According to Mark Gurman, Apple has completed the development of a new generation of low-cost Pro Display XDR displays a few months ago. It was originally planned to launch the new MacBook Pro at Apple’s autumn conference in October 2021, but it was delayed for unknown reasons.

Sources told Gurman that Apple’s low-cost version of the Pro Display XDR is currently ready, and it is not ruled out that Apple will debut with the M2 or M1 Pro Mac mini at the spring 2022 conference. The affordable version of the Pro Display XDR is expected to sell for about $2,500 (about NT$70,000).

Previously, foreign media 9to5Mac revealed that Apple is developing an external display with a resolution of 7K, the Studio Display, which is known to have a built-in A13 bionic chip, and the remaining size specifications and launch time have not yet been determined.

Finally, Gurman revealed that Apple is unlikely to launch an iMac Pro or Mac Pro at the spring conference, at least until June to see a new Mac computer.

The 2022 Apple Spring Conference will be held at 2:00 a.m. Taiwan time on March 9, and Mr. Crazy will also provide Apple’s online live discussion area for everyone to chat and discuss.
