IPHONE 14 LEAKS: A15 CHIP, 4 DIFFERENT MODELS AND SATELLITE CONNECTION

Several months before the September 2022 keynote, the iPhone 14 series leaks continue to make headlines in the specialized press. We recently learned that Apple is going to redesign the Pro models. The iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max would be covered with a pill-shaped screen. For the first time, the brand would ignore the notch.Apple would release an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Following the catastrophic sales of the mini model, the firm would have decided to stop the costs and to focus on smartphones with a large screen. The standard iPhone 14 would therefore be available in two models: a version with a 6.1-inch screen and a Max model with a 6.7-inch panel. The screen resolution is said to be similar to the iPhone 13 Pro launched last year. On the other hand, the slab of the iPhone 14 Pro would be slightly larger than that of their predecessors to adapt to the double hole. The iPhone 14 and 14 Max models would be powered by the A15 Bionic chip, the same processor as the iPhone 13. To everyone’s surprise, Apple would reserve its new A16 Bionic chipset for high-end models. This is not a first for the brand. Apple had done this with the iPhone 5C.

Apple could use the high-end version of its A15 Bionic chip in the entry-level iPhone 14 models, as 9to5Mac also heard from our own sources that all this year’s iPhones will have 6GB of RAM. The company could even rebrand the chip as “A15X,” as it has done in the past with the 2020 iPad Pro’s A12Z chip – which is essentially the A12X chip with an extra GPU core.According to 9to5Mac, Apple could however use a slightly revised A15 chip on its iPhone 14. The brand has two versions of the chipset, including an edition with an additional GPU. Moreover, all models would have 6 GB of RAM to support the SoC.
