I just got a new MacBook M1 Max laptop to replace my struggling 2014 MacBook Pro. Trying to produce music and video at the same time was pushing my 2014 to it’s limits. The CPU cores were often pegged and the fan noise was killing me. When I finally ordered the new MacBook around Christmas, the estimated delivery date was March 4! I wondered if the 4TB SSD was the hold up and contacted Apple to ask – but didn’t get a firm answer. Fortunately, the M1 Max came sooner than estimated and I was excited to unbox it and get using it. This video is just a casual walkthroughs of the unboxing, setup, migration and my earliest performance tests.
