Why The 16 Inch MacBook Pro M1 Max is THE Computer for 8k and HDR Content Creators in B&W HDR

Shot on the Canon EOS R5 with a 100mm f/2.8 RF Macro lens, I experimented with colored LED lighting to disastrous results. Rather than reshoot the video, I converted it to black and white to hide the technicolor mess.

Regardless, if you’re interested in the new MacBook Pro M1 Max (maxed) for content creation, don’t think twice… get it. The source for this video was 8K ProRes RAW, converted to ProRes 422 HQ from FCP, then edited and saved as HEVC from DaVinci Resolve. There were no hiccups, wait times for rendering were more than acceptable, and the multiple display profiles built in to the MacBook made editing HDR easy!
