With the help of former Apple engineers, Qualcomm has developed a PC chip called Hamoa to challenge M2, claiming to be more efficient than M2. Cooperate with Intel, balance TSMC, Samsung, and force GAA process competition.
The M1 series, the first generation of processors, has already broken new ground for Apple in the PC market, and just concluded WWDC, the M2 also made a fresh debut.
Compared with M1, THE CPU, GPU, and NPU of M2 processor all achieve double-digit increases. Apple also compared the M2 to its older Intel x86 processor, which it uses to cut video and render images.
In fact, in the ARM system, there is a PC eyeing manufacturers, that is Qualcomm. After Apple’s M2 debut, Qualcomm also expressed the view that the chip developed by its Nuvia team will surpass M2 in performance.
