So couple of months into flying, I am improving on my flights with this RC Plane. Sometimes I will take the AS3X Safe Select turned off and fly in advanced and get a good practice with it while it’s high in the air. I’ll be flying the plane at low altitudes in the evenings from now on as the field is much less busy and I have no chance in hurting anybody.
For anybody that is not familiar with Horizon Hobby’s AS3X S+ (Safe Select) it is a system built within the receiver which stabilises the plane automatically. So for instance if you let go of the controls, the plane will automatically stay level.
I fly this plane in Bath UK. Beautiful place and wonderful people!
I will be practicing to fly this still and ensure I can fly it without the AS3X Safe Select turned on so that I have the confidence and experience to move onto a plane without the Safe Select feature (or have it turned off if I purchase a plane that has the feature)
