Geekbench can't keep up with the MacBook Pro M1 Max!

Broken Apple Watch straps – a PSA.
AirPods – Spacial audio with accelerometers just blew my mind.

We found out why the GeekBench Metal scores are lower than expected… The M1 Max is too fast for the benchmarks. Basically because the GeekBench compute uses short bursts, its not ramping up the GPU in the M1 Max to its peak frequencies. Basically the M1 Max is just saying… I don’t need to make the effort here for what GeekBench is throwing at it. Baller.
So when Geekbench do update the benchmarks to push the chips, we should be expecting scores in the high 70,000 range, maybe even into the 80,000 points range.
Also, just on the base binned version of the 14” MacBook Pro with 14 GPU Cores, the Aztec Ruins

#icaveanswers So I’m saving up my lunch money for a Mac mini M1 Pro with 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine 32GB unified memory 1TB ssd. Just doing some percentage comparisons between the current M1 mini and the M1 13 inch MacBook Pro with similar configurations the price difference seems to be between 53% and 59%. So I’m guessing I could pick up my dream mini (if it ever comes out) for between $1536.00 to $1710.00. What do you think? Am I close?
