MacBook Pro 16″ 2021 – M1 Pro 16 Core GPU vs. M1 Max 24 Core GPU – Comparison

Two days ago I received MacBook Pro 16″ with M1 Max (24 Core GPU / 32GB RAM), which I ordered to replace the MBP 16″ with M1 Pro and decided to do a little comparison.

0:15 – Specs
0:28 – Moho Pro 13.5.2
2:23 – After Effects CC 2022
3:39 – Shadow of the Tomb Raider
6:38 – Outro

My conclusions in two days:

1. If you decide to take the new MacBook Pro along with 32GB of RAM, then pay extra $200 for the M1 Max (24 Core GPU). It will be a good investment and you will get 60% more powerful GPU and it will be more future proof. Just for extra $200.

2. If your job is based on software that depends on CPU performance, there is no point to taking the M1 Max. M1 Pro (16 Core GPU / 16GB RAM) will suit you perfectly and will be a device for years to come.

Now I’m going to sell MBP 16″ M1 Pro.
