In this first episode we see the basic functions of the operating system: we started from the initial lock screen, seeing how to log in and how to start the mac, and then move to the desk where we first of all dedicated ourselves to the toolbar: we saw as it assumes a function similar to that of the right click on Windows allowing users to opt for complicated operations in a short time, in addition to hosting many useful widgets to note the status of the Mac, you can see the battery charge, information relating to connectivity such as wifi and bluetooth and other useful settings and data. Then we moved to the other side of the desk to see the Dock, an area of the desk dedicated to containing all the applications and programs used most often, also extremely customizable in size, positioning and even magnification if you pass over it with the cursor , I also took the opportunity to explain the two window minimization animations on macOS: Genius Effect and Scale Effect. We then deepened talking about the control of Mac windows, first of all by analyzing and explaining the functions of all three icons in the upper left of the window that are used to close, minimize and open the various programs in full screen, and passing through the ‘topic of changing the measures of the various windows we got to talk about Mission Control and the management of programs open in full screen, learning how you can switch from one to the other with a simple swipe and how it is possible to see all the programs open in background, even discovering how to create more than one virtual desk! We then concluded the episode by taking a look at the operation of the Launchpad, the collection of all the applications and programs installed on the Mac, and how these can be deleted with a quick explanation of the recycle bin and how to delete files from memory. And with this we have finished the first episode of this series that if you want to see it continue you can leave a Like or a comment, even if you have any doubts or curiosities about a particular function, and we’ll see you in the next video! .
