Apple has launched a redesigned MacBook Air and an updated 13-inch MacBook Pro, both powered by the new M2 chip. What’s new in it? Let’s check it out.
The M2 chip is built with the second generation 5 nanometer, features over 20 billion transistors. It delivers 100GB per second of unified memory bandwidth, which is 50% more than M1.
It supports up to 24GB of fast unified memory, so some larger and more complex workloads can be handled.
M2 features a 8-core CPU with advancements in both performance and efficiency.
Together, they deliver 18 percent greater multithreaded performance than M1.
MacBook Air is thinner, lighter, got a bigger display, performs faster, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, four-speaker sound system, up to 18 hours of battery life and in four finishes.
