AMD managed to give a very decent answer in the form of AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 . Today, the restrictions on the publication of tests of AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 video cards were lifted, and editions to which refrained versions of these RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 models had been sent in advance, rolled out their tests. The AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is a competitor to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 , and the Radeon RX 6800 should roughly compete with the GeForce RTX 3070.
Judging by the results obtained on the YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed, the Radeon RX 6800 XT, in total, according to the results of 18 games, is slightly ahead of the GeForce RTX 3080 in 2K resolution (1440p, 2560 × 1440 pixels) and slightly loses when upscaled to 4K.
The recommended prices for NVIDIA Radeon RX 6800 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 are $ 579 and $ 499, respectively.
Curiously, at this resource, the RTX 3080 was overall slightly faster than the RX 6800 XT at all resolutions. Such close results for new generation video cards from two companies AMD and NVIDIA allow us to hope for very high competition in the video card market. In the meantime, the situation is such that NVIDIA RTX 3000 series video cards are in great shortage or are sold at a very high price. There is reason to believe that a similar situation will be with AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics adapters, at least for the first time.
