Nearly a year ago I discussed how the CPU market was in a dire state due to the silicon shortage. Prices for Ryzen 5000 series processors were well above msrp and hardly in stock. Now in late 2021, you can find excellent deals on CPUs like the Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 7 5800X, making them excellent alternative choices when compared to 12th gen intel CPUs like the 12600K and 12900K.
