A few days ago, the “2022 White Paper on the Development of China’s Satellite Navigation and Location Services Industry” released by the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association mentioned that the overall output value of my country’s satellite navigation and location services industry in 2021 will reach 469 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of over 16%.
In terms of mobile phones, Xu Ying, a researcher at the Institute of Aeronautical and Space Information Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a scientist of Beidou Navigation System, said that whether it is Baidu Map or AutoNavi Map, they all support Beidou Navigation, but whether Beidou Navigation can be used depends on people’s opinions. Do mobile phones have Beidou chips? At present, most mobile phones, including Xiaomi, Huawei, and Apple, contain Beidou chips.
According to the data of the National Development and Reform Commission, in 2021, the domestic smartphone shipments supporting Beidou will reach 324 million units, accounting for 94.5% of the total domestic smartphone shipments.
It is reported that the Beidou satellite navigation system is a satellite navigation system independently constructed and operated by my country. It is the third mature satellite navigation system after GPS and GLONASS.
According to Baidu Encyclopedia, the Beidou satellite navigation system consists of three parts: the space segment, the ground segment and the user segment. It can provide high-precision and highly reliable positioning, navigation, and timing services for various users around the world in all weather and all day.
