In this video I demonstrate how the touch screen of a fully functional iPhone XS display can appear to be faulty when fitted to a device which has a different number of digits on the touch panel IC to that of the new screen.
In most cases the screen is absolutely fine and will work fine on a different device.
Matching the digits on the IC appears to be important for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
