POCO is a sub-brand launched by Xiaomi overseas. It not only has a good market performance, but also “not stingy” with product updates. Just earlier this month, POCO released its latest X5 series of mobile phones, and now, the brand’s C series product line also has good news. According to mobile phone China, POCO’s official overseas account has begun to promote the new member of the C series – POCO C55, it seems that the new machine is not far from the release.

Combined with the official teaser video and pictures leaked by multiple sources, the POCO C55 is likely to adopt a faux leather design with a seam running vertically through the middle. There is a large camera module on the top of the back of the phone, which contains a rear fingerprint sensor and a large POCO logo on the right.
On the left side of the module is a dual camera system, with a circle between the cameras for the LED flash and another circle labeled “AI”.

According to foreign media speculation, since the camera module design of the POCO C55 looks similar to that of the Redmi 12C, the machine may be a rebranded version of the latter. Referring to the latter configuration, POCO C55 may be equipped with a 6.71-inch 720 x 1650 pixel LCD screen, equipped with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, supplemented by up to 6GB RAM+128GB ROM, and the rear main camera is 50MP.
It is worth mentioning that the machine may be equipped with a large 5000mAh battery, but it only supports 10W wired charging. Netizens complained that this can’t be charged overnight?
Redmi 12C
Judging from the naming, POCO C55 should be the successor of POCO C50.
However, the C50 was just unveiled last month, so this machine should be a higher-positioned version. Although in the entry-level category, the C55 will have a larger display, better chipset, more storage, and a higher-megapixel main camera than the POCO C50.
