According to the latest report of foreign media Patently Apple, the US Trademark and Patent Office recently announced Apple’s application for a new patented technology (patent number US 20230089242 A1). The information in the document shows that the patented technology is related to the Apple Watch smart watch. It involves the introduction of a radar-based system, through the operation of sensors and radar algorithms, to accurately detect the user’s breathing rate, coughing and other multi-faceted health measurement functions, so that users can better understand and evaluate themselves state of health.
The radar system detection technology developed by Apple mainly transmits and receives signals through the new radar sensor. It has the advantages of high-precision detection and fast response. When there is an abnormality in human breathing or cardiovascular function , can quickly perform real-time biometric identification and correlation combination based on measurement data values such as muscle vibrations (or jitters) of different degrees.
