The “shortcut” function in Apple’s iPhone and Apple Watch allows users to set a variety of complex functions and operations into a single button, which can be started step by step with just one button. The Beta version is the first to test the shortcut function of the camera, which will allow users to activate 9 shooting modes with one click.
In the latest iOS 17 Beta version, users will be able to select the “Turn on Camera” command for the shortcut, and set different mode switching. According to foreign media tests, there are currently 9 modes available, including photo, selfie, video, and portrait mode, self-portrait, “cinematic” mode, slow-motion video, time-lapse, panorama.
By setting shortcuts, users can place a button on the iPhone desktop and start self-timer, video recording, or time-lapse photography with just one click, without having to search for the corresponding function in the “Camera” app. At present, the “Camera Shortcut” function is still in the testing stage, and whether it will be included in the official version will not be known until it is released in the fall.
