The two major European media “Dealabs” and “HotUKDeals” revealed the official European pricing of Pixel 8 at the same time. The entry-level Pixel 8 will start from 799 euros (about 27,408 yuan) for the 128GB model, and 859 euros (about 29,467 yuan) for the 256GB model. The high-end Pixel 8 Pro 128GB is priced at 1099 euros (about 37,700 yuan), 256GB is 1159 euros (about 39,758 yuan), and the top specification 512GB is 1299 euros (about 44,561 yuan).
For comparison, Google’s current Pixel 7 is priced at 649 euros (about 22,263 yuan) in Europe, while the Pixel 8 Pro is 899 euros (about 30,839 yuan), an increase of as much as 150 euros, which translates to 5,154 yuan in Taiwan dollars.
In fact, as early as the first half of the year, Google has quietly raised the price of Pixel 7a, but the rate is relatively slight, only 1,000 yuan behind the previous generation. In the past few years, the entry price of Pixel mobile phones has been below 20,000 yuan. It may be quite challenging to keep this threshold this year.
