Apple fans who still have a soft spot for the small-sized iPhone mini model should hurry up and buy one! According to foreign media MacRumors, as Apple’s 2023 autumn conference will be held on Wednesday, the day after tomorrow, in the early morning of September 13, it is expected that after the new generation of iPhone 15 series mobile phones are officially released, Apple’s official website may remove the first few models from the shelves. Among them, the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini launched in 2021 is likely to face the fate of discontinuation due to unsatisfactory sales performance since its launch.
In addition, after Apple launched the iPhone 12 mini in 2020 and the iPhone 13 mini in 2021, it canceled the mini successor model last year and launched the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus instead. If the iPhone 13 mini starts the production discontinuation plan this year, it also means that the iPhone mini model may officially become history.
It is reported that the current inventory of iPhone 13 mini models is at a very low level. Taking Apple’s official website in the United States as an example, the estimated shipping time for some color and capacity models has been extended to 2 to 3 weeks, and some models even need to wait about 6 to 8 weeks for shipment.
For reference, the iPhone 13 mini is still on the shelves on Apple’s official website in Taiwan. It is available in six colors: blue, green, pink, midnight black, starlight white and red. The 128GB version is priced at NT$20,900. Except for the 128GB version of “Pink, Midnight Black and Red”, which can be ordered today and will be shipped on October 4 (about three to four weeks), other colors and 128GB/256GB/512GB capacities are available.
