Benchmark test results also show that Tensor G3 has not caught up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but is only close to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 released in the second half of 2022. The GPU has Mali-G715 that can support ray tracing, but the stability of Pixel 8 Pro is only between 52.5-58.7%, and the performance is not excellent.
Foreign media “Wccftech” pointed out that Tensor G3 does not use Samsung’s newer 4LPP+ process as rumored, but the original 4LPP process. Its power efficiency is poor, and there is no further improvement in the heat dissipation structure of Pixel 8. , believes that it is necessary to wait until Google officially changes its cooperation with TSMC before Tensor chips can make a breakthrough. .
