What brand is your mobile phone? For many young people, Apple iPhone is definitely the first choice! A recent report from investment firm Piper Sandler pointed out that only 12% of young people in the United States are willing to use Android.

Piper Sandler conducted a fall survey of 9,193 young people in the United States with an average age of 15.7 years old. The results showed that 87% of them are currently using iPhones, and a whopping 88% will want to choose iPhone for their next mobile phone. In other words, only about 12% of young users are willing to try Android phones.

This trend is not limited to the United States. A report released by Japanese media sumahodigest in July showed that in Japan, iPhone is the most popular among young people aged 10-30, with 62% of those aged 10-19 using iPhone, and 20-29% of those aged 20-29 using iPhone. It further reaches 73% among those aged 40 and above. Only nearly half of users over 40 years old use Android phones.

In recent years, Taiwan’s high-end market has been dominated by Apple’s iPhone. Looking at the monthly sales rankings, Apple has been able to occupy the first place for a long time. On the other hand, the models that can enter the list of Android are still mainly mid-range and entry-level products. The two camps have different consumer groups.
