Since Apple launched the HomePod smart speaker, in addition to being able to play its own Apple Music streaming music, it has also opened support for third-party streaming music in 2020. However, what is puzzling is that YouTube Music owned by Google has not Never been on the list.

However, just a few days ago, Google officially announced that the function of playing YouTube Music through HomePod has been officially opened to all paid YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium users around the world.

Foreign media PhoneArena reported that Google’s official account posted an announcement on a well-known foreign Reddit forum that Apple’s HomePod smart speaker can officially support the YouTube Music streaming music application. To experience this feature, users need to update the YouTube Music App to the latest version on their iOS device, enter the “Settings” menu, click “Connected Apps”, and select “Connect with HomePod” , issue the voice command “Hey Siri, play music on YouTube Music” to turn on this feature.
