Sharing folders and drives between two computers is a great way to transfer files, documents and other data efficiently. With a wifi router, this process can be even easier. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to share folders and drives between two computers using a wifi router:
Step 1: Connect both computers to the wifi router. Make sure they are connected to the same network.
Step 2. Choose the folder or drive you want to share. Right-click on it and select Properties
Step 3. In the ‘Properties’ window, select the Sharing tab.
Step 4. Click on the ‘Advanced Sharing’ button.
Step 5. Check the box that says ‘Share this folder’.
Step 6. Give the folder a name that you will recognize.
Step 7. Set the permissions on the folder. You can choose to allow ‘Read’ access or ‘Read/Write’ access.
Step 8. Click OK to close the Advanced Sharing window.
Step 9. Repeat these steps on the other computer, making sure to use the same name for the shared folder.
Step 10. To access the shared folder, go to Network on either computer and you should see the other computer’s shared folder. Double-click on it to access its contents.
And that’s it! You should now be able to share folders and drives between two computers using a wifi router.
