The ranking of wireless headphones has changed! The latest data from the research agency Canalys revealed that Apple AirPods once again won the top spot in the global wireless headset shipment market share ranking in the fourth quarter of 2023, but faced double-digit declines, and new brands have entered the top five.
Canalys data points out that Apple AirPods’ shipment market share reached 29% in the fourth quarter of 2023, far ahead of second-place Samsung (9%). However, Apple faces major challenges, falling by as much as 13% compared to the same period in 2022. , Canalys believes that the switch to USB-C port AirPods has failed to drive purchase sentiment. Recently, “Bloomberg” news pointed out that Apple is expected to release the fourth generation AirPods at the end of this year, which is expected to promote the upgrade wave of Apple fans.
Samsung, which ranks second, has grown 23% compared to the same period in 2022 due to the outstanding performance of its newly released Galaxy FE Bud, further narrowing the gap with Apple. The third place is Xiaomi, with shipments increasing by 54%, followed by boAt, an affordable brand focusing on the Indian market.
