Q9500 – Intel's LAST Core 2 Quad CPU | Core 2 Quad Q9500 2018 Gaming Test

In January of 2010 Intel released it’s final Core 2 Quad CPU, the Q9500, well after the first Core i processors were rolled out. It was a final upgrade path for LGA775 socket users who wanted to upgrade from an early Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad. The Core 2 Quad Q9500 is based on the Yorkfield-6M architecture and is basically a Q9550 with only half the L2 cache enabled (2x 3MB instead of 2x 6MB). Despite being over 8 years old the Q9500 does quite alright when it comes to gaming, all tested games ran with well playable framerates and the four cores where enough to run all games with little to no lags.
