According to foreign media MacRumors quoting the latest forecast report released by Tianfeng International Securities analyst Guo Mingchi, the new generation of iPhone 13 series to be released this year still maintains the same four models as last year, namely the iPhone 13 mini with dual lenses. , IPhone 13 and the flagship high-end positioning of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max with three lenses. In addition to replacing it with a more powerful A15 chip and adopting a narrower version of the bangs screen design, it is reported that the built-in storage capacity will also usher in a brand-new change.
Guo Mingchi predicts that the capacity of all models of the new generation of iPhone 13 will be upgraded this year. Among them, the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini and 6.1-inch iPhone 13 with dual lenses on the back of the machine will start from 128GB in capacity. In addition, 256GB and 512GB options are also available. In other words, the previous iPhone has maintained the capacity version of the 64GB version for many years, and it will be officially abandoned this year.
As for the flagship high-end Pro series of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, in addition to maintaining the same 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions as the previous generation, these two models will also add a “1TB” larger capacity version option. If the rumors are true, this year’s iPhone 13 Pro series will be the first model with a “1TB” capacity since the introduction of successive iPhones.
In response to the upgrade of the built-in storage capacity, Guo Mingchi predicts that the average selling price of the iPhone 13 series will also increase. However, benefiting from the impact of the US ban on Huawei, he has an optimistic outlook on the shipments of the new iPhone 13 this year, and estimates that it will increase the annual shipments of the iPhone 12 series by 10% over last year. Although still facing the potential challenge of shortage of parts and materials, the estimated impact on iPhone 13 shipments is limited.
