A few days ago, the official overseas account of the Honor brand announced that Honor has confirmed that it has resumed cooperation with Google. At the same time, the latest Honor 50 series overseas models will also be pre-installed with Google GMS (Google Mobile Services).
This also means that Honor is about to restart overseas business and regain its previous international market share.
Today, according to digital blogger @菊厂影业Fans, Honor Overseas’s first release is scheduled for October 18th, and the first country is Malaysia.
It is worth mentioning that this will be the first time that Honor will release a mobile phone product in overseas markets after independence, and it will also be the first product after resuming cooperation with Google.
Google GMS service is the core of Android smart phones. It currently provides services such as search, voice search, Gmail mail service, contact synchronization, calendar synchronization, GTalk chat, Google Maps, Google Street View, YouTube, and software market.
It is understood that in August this year, Honor CEO Zhao Ming said in an interview with the media that the focus of overseas this year is to restore channels and operational capabilities. “The domestic market share is at least 3%, and now it has rebounded to 14.6%. I believe that overseas markets will also step out of this curve.”
Industry insiders pointed out that after Honor resumes its cooperation with Qualcomm and Google, it will help Honor further expand into the international market and help Honor quickly return to the top echelon of the mobile phone market.
Regarding Honor’s performance, Counterpoint Research Director Tarun Pathak said that after separating from Huawei, Honor resumed its relationship with component manufacturers in a timely manner. Since then, Glory has relied on its strong R&D capabilities to quickly launch new products and quickly recover in China. The rebirth of glory will further intensify the competition in the Chinese market in the second half of 2021.
