However, it was only some breaking news before that, and now the first Snapdragon 898 model in China has been certified.
According to the latest news from the blogger @李昂昂昂啊: “The first Qualcomm 898 new machine from a domestic manufacturer was officially approved by radio. It belongs to Nubia, code-named NX679J, which is the new Red Devils 7 series.”
It should be noted that, according to the previous release time of the Red Devils 6th generation, this series will be later than the first batch of regular new flagships, mainly because gaming phones pay more attention to tuning and optimization.
Judging from the current news, the Red Devils 7 series may not be among the first models with a high probability.
However, it should be noted that the Red Devils 7 is the first to realize the network access, which means that Nubia and even the entire ZTE brand have cooperated very closely with Qualcomm and have quickly completed the overall design.
Based on this speculation, ZTE may also plan to have other flagship models that will be equipped with the Snapdragon 898 chip in the first batch, and it does not even rule out that it will grab the first launch.
According to previous news, the Snapdragon 898 is built using Samsung’s 4nm process technology. The specific CPU specifications are 1*3.0GHz X2 super large core + 3*2.5GHz large core + 4*1.79GHz small core; GPU is Adreno 730.
On the whole, the Snapdragon 898 should bring no small upgrades compared to the previous generation in terms of performance, power consumption, and heat generation.
