Sony held a press conference on the launch of the “real camera” mobile phone Xperia PRO-I in Taiwan today, and officially announced the sales information. The stand-alone price starts at 48,880 yuan. Accessories, will be listed in Taiwan on December 15.
Xperia PRO-I is targeted at video creators. Most of its core specifications are similar to Xperia 1 III, such as a 4K 120Hz 6.5-inch screen and Qualcomm S888 processing chip. The most special feature is that it uses the same 1-inch as the Sony RX100 VII card player. The photosensitive element has more light input, with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), 315 focus points, and maintains Sony’s mobile phone strengths such as high-speed continuous shooting and focusing.
In order to meet the needs of creators, Xperia PRO-I is also equipped with a series of exclusive accessories, including a remote control handle for Vlog shooting, and an external screen. The joystick is shared with the camera. The price of GP-VPT2BT is 3,980 yuan, with a screen and base. The price is 6,990 yuan, and a luxury camera set with a screen and handle will be launched at an initial price of 54,880 yuan.

Sony also invited advertising director Ed and photographer Paul to share their experience on the spot. Both of them mentioned the selectivity brought by Xperia PRO-I in creation.
Ed said that Xperia PRO-I has a very “camera feel” in the hand feel. Compared with professional equipment, when the image of the mobile phone is improved, it will give more possibilities and choices for creation. He mentioned that some things need to be captured when they happen. Large movie cameras need to be prepared, but Xperia PRO-I is easier to carry.
Paul, who often travels outdoors to shoot, believes that he often needs to grab shots at work, so speed is very important. Xperia PRO-I can use custom shortcuts, touch the phone in his pocket and pick it up. He also mentioned the right to choose, such as extreme outdoor terrain, such as cliffs that require extra safety when taking a single eye. Xperia PRO-I is relatively convenient. Paul added that mobile photography is less oppressive and can cut out a very natural presentation.
