According to foreign technology website “PhoneArena”, Samsung expects to launch a new generation of flagship tablet Galaxy Tab S8 series early next year to replace the current Tab S7 series.
In terms of model, there are only two different models from the previous generation Tab S7. Galaxy Tab S8 is expected to have 3 models, including the basic Galaxy Tab S8, the high-end Galaxy Tab S8+, and the new flagship Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Similar to the Galaxy S21 series of mobile phones, and all three models are expected to be equipped with Qualcomm’s top gauge chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and support 5G.
Some evaluation reports also pointed out that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip used by it has GPU graphics performance similar to that of Apple’s A15, but its power consumption is also higher than that of the previous generation Snapdragon 888, which means it may consume more power and have higher Heat dissipation requirements, but on a tablet with a larger body, these requirements will be easier to solve than a mobile phone.

At present, the relevant price has not yet been revealed, but Korean media broke the news that the top gauge Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be priced at 1.499 million won, or about 35,000 Taiwan dollars, which is equivalent to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
In addition, in order to increase the screen-to-body ratio, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is suspected to adopt a similar strategy to Apple’s new-generation MacBook Pro, using a fringe frame to accommodate the front lens. As for the main lens, the three lenses are expected to be quite similar, all using a dual-lens module with 13 million pixels + 5 million pixels.
