My iPhone XS, XS Max, Or XR Is Frozen. Here’s The Fix!

Two Apple experts explain what to do if your iPhone XS, XS Max, or XR is frozen. A lot of the time, this is the result of a software crash and you’ll have to hard reset your iPhone.

After doing a hard reset, it’s important to save a backup of your iPhone ASAP!

Backup to iTunes:

However, a hard reset won’t fix the root of the software problem that froze your iPhone. Make sure you delete any bad apps if they crashed your iPhone, or Reset All Settings if the problem persists.

The last step you can take to completely rule out a software problem is a DFU restore.
