Intel’s Alder Lake Gen 12 Desktop Gaming CPU’s are launching in Q3 or Q4 of 2021. Some leak benchmarks have caused some stir in what to expect with the Intel Core i9 12900K beating the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.
The Core i7 12700K also beats the AMD Ryzen 5900X and the Core i5 12600K beats the Ryzen 7 5800X respectively in Cinebench R20 Scores.
The new Intel Alder Lake CPU’s will run on Intel’s LGA 1700 Socket, Bring PCIE Gen 5 and DDR5 support. It will also require Windows 11 to take full advantage of the full performance of these CPU’s.
The Gen 12 CPU Core layout will be based on Big Core and Little Cores. The Big cores can manage 5.3Ghz single threaded performance and the little cores will be clocked at max speed of 3.9Ghz
