If you want to buy an Android flagship phone, you can wait a little longer! According to foreign media reports, MediaTek and Qualcomm are both about to launch new chips in the second half of the year, all using TSMC’s process.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chip released by Qualcomm at the end of last year faced problems such as overheating and power consumption after it was launched, including Samsung and Xiaomi, which restricted the operation of mobile apps. The outside world points to two major problems, including poor ARM architecture design and Samsung’s process technology. Foreign media “Wccftech” reported that Qualcomm will switch to a single product, and will launch an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
“Wccftech” quoted Chinese news, alleging that MediaTek also plans to release an enhanced version of the Dimensity 9000 chip, the current maximum core Cortex-X2 running clock 3.05GHz, it is predicted that the new version can reach 3.20GHz, and will use the same TSMC 4nm process.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is rumored to be released as soon as next month, and related mobile phones will be listed in the second quarter. As for MediaTek, there is no news yet, but it is expected that the new Dimensity 9000 will be the biggest opponent of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
