Today we are gonna be doing another overclock video tutorial, but differently from my other video where we saw how to overclock Zen 2 & 3 via BIOS and where we compared manual overclock and custom PBO Overclock, today we are going to use a software for doing that.
I am talking about CTR, it which stands for Clock Tuner for Ryzen and it’s a simple utility made by 1usmas. It uses the AMD Ryzen Master libraries so you need to have that installed and it needs some other prerequisites that you can read below:

REQUIREMENTS

– Disable antivirus or run the program in Admin mode
– Windows 10 x64 1909-2004 build and newer
– BIOS with AGESA Combo AM4 1.0.0.4
– .NET Framework 4.6 (or newer)
– CPU Voltage – Auto (BIOS);
– CPU Multiplier – Auto (BIOS);
– Ryzen Master 2.3 (with CTR 2.0 this is an optional installation)
– Dont overclock the RAM and enable just the XMP profile (if it’s stable)
– Motherboard chipset: 350/370/450/470/550/570
– SVM (Virtualization) – disabled in BIOS
– Load Line calibration set on AUTO. In case of Asus I found that level 3 works better
Phase mode – Standard Current capability mode – 100% but it works for me set at 120% and extreme
(MSI – LLC 3; Gigabyte Turbo, ASRock LLC 2, Biostar – Level 4+ )
– As i explain in the video, make sure the CPU tags are not showing 100, if they do then set these settings in the bios: CPPC ENABLED, PSS ENABLED, preferred cores enabled

Zen 2: Threadripper 3970X, Threadripper 3960X, Ryzen 9 3950X, Ryzen 9 3900X, Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 9 3900, Ryzen 7 3800XT, Ryzen 7 3800X, Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 5 3600XT , Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3500X, Ryzen 5 3500, Ryzen 3 3300X (partially) and Ryzen 3 3100 (partially)
APU: Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G, Ryzen 7 PRO 4650G, Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G
