Xiaomi officially announced today that it has reached a strategic cooperation with Leica, and the first product will be officially launched in July.
Unsurprisingly, the first model to be cooperated is the super-sized Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra model, and the cooperation between the two parties is very deep.
The person in charge of Leica said: “We have devoted more than 100 years of Leica’s image accumulation to Xiaomi’s new works.”
Wang Hua, head of Xiaomi’s public relations, also issued a document emphasizing that the cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica is not just an ordinary joint name, and the strategic cooperation will be much deeper.
It is reported that only two mobile phone manufacturers, Huawei and Sharp, have cooperated with Leica and obtained Leica certification before, and now Xiaomi has become the third mobile phone manufacturer to receive Leica blessing.
As we all know, the previous cross-border cooperation between Huawei and Leica can be described as a successful model. With the blessing of Leica, Huawei mobile phones have successfully established themselves in the high-end mobile phone market, and Huawei’s image strength has gradually increased. Each generation of P series will dominate DXOMARK.
The Mi 12 Ultra under the blessing of Leica will also go a step further in the sensor lens. With Xiaomi’s self-developed ISP chip, it may bring a historic breakthrough in imaging, which is very worth looking forward to.
