Taking a closer look at the brand, Samsung jumped from the second place in the previous season to the champion, with a market share of 23.8%, beating the second place Apple’s 19.3%. TrendForce named Samsung’s two major strengths, including the launch of the new flagship Galaxy S22 and the slow supply of entry-level 4G mobile phone chips, with production reaching 73.8 million units in the first quarter.
Apple’s iPhone 13 continues to sell well, and the new generation of iPhone SE fuels buying. Apple’s sales in the first quarter reached 60 million units, an increase of 11.1% over last year.
The subsequent rankings are Xiaomi (14.3%), Oppo (13.1%), and vivo (7.6%), among which Xiaomi surpassed Oppo and climbed to the third place.
