According to the information security evaluation website “AV-TEST”, 16 well-known Android antivirus software apps for general users were tested. The three major test indicators are measured and scored. The full score of each single test item is 6 points, and the cumulative total score is up to 18 points. This time, there are as many as 12 Android antivirus softwares, all of which got full marks in each item, winning the highest score of 18 points and tied for the best.
Secondly, there are 2 antivirus software test scores of 17 points, namely McAfee “Mobile Security 6.6” and F-Secure “SAFE 18.5”. As for the two worst-performing antivirus software, Ikarus “Mobile Security 2.0” from Austria and Google “Play Protect 29.7”; the former scored 15.5 points and the latter 14 points.
“AV-TEST” analysis pointed out that in terms of “protection” alone, a total of more than 3,000 recently infected applications were collected as the first-stage test samples. In addition, 2,800 malicious applications that had been infected for more than four weeks were also used as a second phase of testing.
In the actual measurement, a total of 13 antivirus software have a detection rate of 100%, which can detect all malicious attacks 100%. McAfee “Mobile Security 6.6” and Ikarus “Mobile Security 2.0” are both slightly misjudged. As for Google Play Protect, it has the weakest protection detection rate and only gets the lowest score of 2 points.
